We started the day off as we will every day of camp, with ‘Minion Minyan’, an engaging tefilla service for the participants, before a yummy breakfast.
Next up was our first Challenge session! We were all split into set groups for the duration of camp, where we will discuss various intellectual and stimulating topics, as well as carry out thought provoking activities. It's also a great way to get to know each other and the madrichim on a more personal level. Today we discussed the role of the shul in the community, and it was great to see everyone getting actively involved in the discussion.
We then had some fun water activities, involving races, duck duck goose with water and slip and slide, to mention just a few, where we all got drenched but had so much fun and we were in great spirits!
Lunch was followed
by iClub, which is organised free time. Over the next week we’ll be having a
few iClub sessions, where we get to spend time getting to know each other as
well as working on a project together in our groups. Today we had fun playing dodgeball
and football, as well as engaging in some drama workshops.
In the evening we had a fun fancy dress Family Fortunes activity after dinner, with various exciting and ridiculous costumes. What a great first day!
