Sunday 2nd August:
After
a fun Shabbat, the week began with a challenging and educational tochnit about
Michael Levine and other lone soldiers. The children discussed the structure
provided for them in Israel, as well as the support systems for making Aliyah.
We ended with the Israeli national anthem Hatikvah and the lighting of memorial
candles. Everyone responded really well to the activity, and it was a great
learning opportunity, as well as a bonding exercise.
Lunch was followed by iClub, and a lighter, fun, messy activity! The teams’ aim was to get as dirty as possible, through popping paint balloons at each other, apple bobbing, egg carton roulette and messy twister. The teams certainly achieved their aim, and free time was well used afterwards to clean up before dinner.
After dinner was a quick-fire pub quiz, including topics on history, Judaism, Tribe, sport and Belgium! We all really enjoyed this activity, and shared a lot of laughs!
